Description

USDA approved Armorpatch is an aggregate-filled, 4-component (components A,B,C and activator) rapid setting compound for many different substrates including concrete. Armorpatch is easily mixed and put into place. Armorpatch exhibits an excellent trowelability and will support foot and wheeled traffic within 10 minutes of being mixed.

Chemical Resistance

Armorpatch resists chemical attack from 70% sulfuric acid, salts, solvents, dilute oxidizing acids and oils. Contact the Wil-Cor, Inc. Technical Department for chemical resistance in specific service conditions.

Surface Preparation

Clean substrate with a wire brush, being sure to remove all laitance, debris and bond-inhibiting substances such as wax, oil, grease, rust or old coatings. After cleaning substrate, brush out the cavity to be filled with a brush so as to remove all trace of dust.

Mixing

For Steel Surfaces

  • 1Remove all components from the shipping container.
  • 2Pour contents of the container marked Armorpatch Component A and the contents of the small bottle marked Armorpatch Activator into the 1-gallon shipping container and stir in well for 30 seconds.
  • 3Next add the contents of the container marked Armorpatch Component B into the previously mixed Component A and Activator and immediately stir for 15 seconds.
  • 4Add the Armorpatch Component C (aggregate) into the stirred liquid mixture and stir until all particles are well wetted out.

Application

  • 1Remove the mixed Armorpatch material from the mixing container and place into the cavity to be patched.
  • 2Spread and level the Armorpatch within the cavity with a spatula, trowel, putty knife or any other flat-bladed object, such as the stick used for mixing.

Shelf LifeThe shelf life of Armorpatch A & B is a minimum of six (6) months in the original containers. Freezing temperatures or temperatures higher than 110° F do not adversely affect the properties of the Armorpatch resin system.

Caution

  • Mix and apply Armorpatch only in well ventilated areas.
  • Wear gloves and goggles to protect the skin.
  • Wash with soap and water after handling.
  • When using acid solutions to clean surfaces, always wear goggles and protective gear.
  • When preparing an acid mixture always add the acid to the water. NEVER ADD WATER TO ACID BECAUSE A VIOLENT REACTION OCCURS.
  • For skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water.
  • For eye contact, flush with water for 15 minutes and seek immediate medical attention.
